About Me

Gabrielle "Gabby" Banzon, MA, LPMT, MT-BC is a Filipino-American music therapist currently residing in Macon, GA and serving on faculty at Georgia College & State University as Clinical Coordinator of the Music Therapy Clinic and Lecturer. She received her Bachelors in Music Therapy with a minor in Music Technology from Georgia College & State University and her Masters of Arts in Music Therapy from Texas Woman's University. She is currently working on her PhD at Indiana University - Indianapolis. Her clinical interests include songwriting, music technology, community approaches, and cultural sensitivity. Gabby is the author of "Space: A Journal for (Future) Music Therapists to Explore and Express through Songwriting,"  a book to help professionals and students develop therapeutic songwriting skills. She manages the Tech Nook, as well as serves on the AMTA International Relations Committee and the Asian Music Therapy Network - U.S. Steering Committee

When time permits, Gabby continues to play, create, and collaborate outside of the clinic. Even though this band geek fulfilled her ensemble requirements long ago, she still can't seem to get enough of making music with people. Available for lyrics, keys, guitar, vocals, and beats, she'll bring whatever dynamic you need to your sound and space. She is also a NOVUM Records artist and contributes to a variety of its projects through writing, arranging, and recording.

Beyond music, Gabby also enjoys creating fun(ny) content. From graphics to videos to140 characters, you can find her on most social media platforms as @gabtothezilla .
